Good on ya.

You can find poetry links on the right, obvs. Go for it.

Mod 3 look at me!

There isn't much here ... yet. I'm kinda hoping my students in Mod 3 (Dec 2010 to Feb 2011) can help me fill this blog with a lot of media friendly stuff.

So .. help me, darn it!

Shakespeare done .. differently

Well, I don't like to be that teacher, the one that gushes out "I LOOOOOOve Shakespeare" everyday in class ...

the one that gets students to read the entire play in class

the one that declares that Shakespeare is the best poet

the one that tells you what. every. word. means.

ugh.

I'd like to be the one that lets you in on a secret:

are you ready for the secret?

Shakespeare wrote plays, not novels.

Isn't that an amazing secret? I'd love to tell you I came up with that, but I didn't. Here's Marvin Karon doing a MUCH better job at teaching a scene of Shakespeare to a group of students

if you are looking for a far more serious way of actors interpreting Shakespeare, take a look at Looking for Richard, a feature length film with Al Pacino

Lots of links and blogs will be included.

Written and MP3 files will be linked here.

Oh, watch Taylor Mali's work of genius "What Teacher's Make":

Oh, and for a moment of weirdness, here is Christan Bok's "Motorized Razors":

and by request, here is something from V:
